About the author
Michelle Goodman is the author of The Anti 9-to-5 Guide: Practical Career Advice for Women Who Think Outside the Cube, which Seal Press will publish in February 2007. She fled the cube in 1992 and has been a freelance writer and editor ever since (with the occasional temp gig thrown in for good measure). To keep a roof over her head, she wrangles text for high tech empires, book publishers, and peddlers of new age philosophy. Her articles about careers, canines, and human mating rituals have appeared in Bitch, Bust, Salon, San Francisco Bay Guardian, The Bark, The Seattle Times, and the anthology The Moment of Truth: Women’s Funniest Romantic Catastrophes. She lives in Seattle with her eighty-pound lap dog, Buddy.
